Welcome to our World of Tea.

E Thorpe and Sons is a father and son tea business founded in 2009.

Edward and Jason, father and son business partners have been passionate about fine high quality tea for some time. Whilst they realised that the majority of tea and coffee drinkers would buy there tea and coffee from a supermarket, they felt there were enough likeminded people in the UK that would want the same, to savour a cup of tea made from top quality products.

It was this passion that gave them the incentive to start up their speciality online tea business in 2009

The quest to find suppliers began in early 2009 to find high quality teas and coffees; they quickly realized that there is a lot of tea suppliers around, however, finding high quality tea was another matter.

After meeting many representatives and sampling different teas Edward and Jason formed a business partnership with Premier’s Tea of India.

We found that we shared the same ideals. The quality of the products, great tasting tea and good presentation were at the forefront of their company standards, also in a world more aware of its future we wanted to be involved with companies that shared our cultural and ethical views and aims.

In the short time we have been in business, we have found that there is an increasing number of discerning customers, with a keen perception that a high quality product can be achieved whilst maintaining cultural and ethical standards, that is why, you will find they belong to and support, Certified Trade Associations , they are also a leading member of the Indian Tea Board.

Premier’s Tea Ltd of Kolkata India produce fine high quality Indian Tea. The things that really impressed us at E Thorpe and Sons were the attention paid to the quality of the fine tea, outstanding  presentation and packaging of the tea products and the professionalism of the people involved. This attention to detail is what makes Premier's Tea Ltd really stand out from the crowd when displayed.

We at E Thorpe and Sons (www.ethorpeandsons.co.uk ) are proud to be associated with Premier’s Tea Ltd and to be the first point of contact in the UK for the Premier's Tea range.

Since meeting with the Premier’s Tea representatives we have formed a close relationship with Premier’s Tea and the Indian Tea Board and co-hosted stands at the BBC Good Food Shows in Glasgow and Birmingham. It was at the Birmingham Good Food show that Mr Chayan Shah Director of Trade and Commerce,  Premier's Tea Ltd hosted tea tasting sessions at the Premier’s stand, demonstrating the confidence we have in their product to allow the public to savour the taste of Premier's high quality tea, it soon became abundantly clear that the demand for quality tea was very high.

Encouraged by the interest shown, Look out for Premier's Tea in 2010.  The next 12 months will see some high profile promotions which will propel the Premier's Tea brand to top of the wish list of tea lovers old and new.

At E Thorpe and Sons we have exciting times ahead and we are relishing the challenge of promoting Premier’s Tea Ltd to it’s rightful place in the UK tea market “A notch above the rest”.
